Overview

The sensational USA 2YO Pacer of the Year and World Champion Huntsville (p,2,1:49; 3,1:47.4 ($1,704,242)

Huntsville defeated the best of his generation on his way to accumulating 15 wins and nine placings from 25 lifetime starts at two and three while banking over $1.7 million in earnings.

It’s no wonder Huntsville excelled on the racetrack – his pedigree is nothing short of royalty. His sire, the late Somebeachsomewhere needs no introduction. In Australia, Beach has sired 379 winners from 439 starters who have earned nearly $30 million including the standout Group 1 Champions Our Waikiki Beach p,1:50.4 ($1,063,256), Poster Boy p,1:49.1 ($803,310) and Maajida p,1:50.3 ($663,830)

Huntsville dam Wild West Show p,4,1:53.3 ($217,714) is by Western Hanover out of the Artsplace mare Sweet On Art combining two of the most influential sire lines in modern history. Wild West Show has been a prolific broodmare, already producing Huntsville, Stevensville (p,3,1:50.1f, $493,359), Cowboy Terrier (p,1:50.1f, $448,480), and the very fast two-year-old of 2017 Wild Bill p,2,1:52.3, from just five foals of racing age. In 2017, she received the prestigious honour of USA Broodmare of the Year.

In 25 lifetime starts he had 15 wins and eight seconds, finishing off the board only one time in his career. Huntsville was voted U.S. two-year old pacer of the year in 2016 and paced to a world record mile of 1:49 at the Red Mile, winning the International Stallion Stake. His two-year-old campaign also included a track record-setting performance at the Meadowlands, winning the Breeders Crown in 1:49.1, as well as wins in the Bluegrass and the Pennsylvania Sire Stakes Championship.

Huntsville retired as the fastest three-year-old of 2017, with a mark of 1:47.4 that he earned winning the Meadowlands Pace. He bankrolled $1,014,428 this year at three, boasting victories in the Cane Pace and Jenna’s Beach Boy, while finishing second in the North America Cup. He retired as the second richest son of the great Somebeachsomewhere, behind only Captaintreacherous

Huntsville’s progeny are running rampant in both the North and Southern Hemisphere at the moment…

In Australia alone Huntsville has already sired numerous Group race winners from his first crop while currently sitting at the top of the National leader board for First Crop Sires.

Huntsville is currently sitting on top of the National 2YO Sires leader board with 33 wins and over $485,000 in stakes.  As well at the First Crop Sire leader, Huntsville is a mile in front with the second sire only having 2 winners.

Only early into the 2022 season in Australia, Huntsville has already sired two Group One winners, a Group Two winner and a Group Three winner.
