Overview

A Leading Son of the Champion Sire Bettors Delight …

Bettors Wish possesses an impeccable pedigree that really complements well with our Australasian bloodlinesA leading son of the champion sire Bettors Delight and out of the Western Ideal mare Lifetime Star. His second dam is a half-sister to top class sire American Ideal, so this is a first-class family.

Bettors Wish emerged as an exceptional racehorse, earning the most prestigious titles of US Three-Year-Old Pacing Colt of the Year and subsequently Aged Male Pacer of the Year as a four-year-old, a rare achievement only previously accomplished by Art Major over eighteen years ago.

In his racing career, Bettors Wish only finished out of the money three times in 44 lifetime starts over three consecutive seasons.

During his three-year-old campaign, Bettors Wish stood out as the highest-earning standardbred in North America, amassing an impressive $1,750,320 in stakes. Throughout 19 starts, he consistently secured top placements, claiming victory in 13 races, including notable wins in the Art Rooney Pace, Tattersalls Pace, Milstein Pace, and Matron Final.

Continuing his success into his four-year-old season, Bettors Wish maintained his dominance and secured the title of the highest earning aged pacer of the year. His triumphs included notable wins in the TVG Final, Allerage Pace, Sam McKee Pace, and the Daytona Derby.

Capping off his illustrious career, Bettors Wish retired to stud duties at Diamond Creek Farm in Pennsylvania after a remarkable final performance, clinching victory in the $340,000 2020 TVG Final with a remarkable time of 1:48.2. And noteworthy second-place finishes included the Breeders Crown Final, TVG Pace, Messenger, Meadowlands Pace, and North America Cup.

“His attitude is amazing and makes my job easy because he’s so versatile. It’s not an easy move [from ages 3 to 4], but you know he’s going to go out there and give you 100 percent.”

From just a small crop of 39 live foals, Bettor’s Wish spent the 2023 season in the Top 3 rankings and finished third in the National Stallion Standings for two-year-old average earnings in the company of the of Captaintreacherous and Sweet Lou.

    Ultimate Crosses

Bettors Wish is a son of the grand sire Bettor’s Delight, we believe that Bettor’s Wish is perfectly suited to Direct Scooter line mares and that cross have has been notably successful in the Southern Hemisphere in recent times. Which includes mares by such stallions as Christian Cullen, Mach Three, Courage Under Fire, Somebeachsomewhere and Captaintreacherous.

Bettor’s Wish is out of a Western Ideal mare so look for Western Ideal line mares to have success with Bettor’s Wish such as Rocknroll Hanover, Always A Virgin, Artspeak, and Dawn Ofa New Day.

American Ideal mares and sons such as Bling It On, Heston Blue Chip, Hes Watching, Soho Tribeca and My Hard Copy and would be very interesting given both he and Bettor’s Wish stem from the same family.

Artsplace line mares should also prove a good match with Bettor’s Wish given his grandam is by Artiscape. Stallions include Art Major, Sweet Lou, Sportswriter, Grinfromeartoear, etc.

Mares by Cams Card Shark sires, including Roll With Joe (full brother to Bettors Delight), Four Starzzz Shark, Hurrikane Kingcole, Million Dollar Cam, Riverboat King and Village Jolt.

The other modern line stallions he suits are dams by, Huntsville, Sweet Lou, Captain Crunch, Betting Line and Shadow Play.
