Expert Equine Rehabilitation, Pre-Training, Agistment, Racing & Stallion Station

Situated in the renowned horse haven of Cobbitty, south-west of Sydney in New South Wales, Cobbitty Equine Farm delivers world class facilities that cater for all aspects of horse racing.

Established in 2011 by Luke and Belinda McCarthy, Cobbitty Equine Farm is set on 65 glorious acres, just 55km from Sydney Airport and 24km from the new Western Sydney airport.

The McCarthy name is synonymous with harness racing, with both Luke and Belinda having being raised in the industry.

Luke is the eldest son of John McCarthy, and brothers to leading American drivers Andy and Todd McCarthy.

Belinda is the daughter of Wayne and Anne Lamb who operate Golden Gait Stud, one of the most prominent breeding farms to have been established in NSW.

Predominately established for harness racing, Cobbitty Equine Farm has diversified operations with numerous property improvements to cater for all aspects of equine care, training and breeding.

The Stud side of the business continues to grow with Cobbitty Equine now the largest and most successful Stud in NSW. Each year Belinda continues to develop relationships locally and internationally, with her goal to provide breeders with a complete pathway, delivering everything they need under one trusted banner.

From elite stallions and mare matching services through to breeding incentives, race series opportunities and ongoing support, Cobbitty Equine Farm has positioned itself as a complete breeding destination, eliminating the need to source services from multiple providers.

With stud season fast approaching, this year promises to be one of the biggest yet for Cobbitty Equine Farm.

With a stallion to suit every breeder and every mare, we are excited to present our 2026/2027 stallion roster.

At Cobbitty Equine Farm, we pride ourselves on giving back to the breeders who support us and will continue to develop initiatives such as the Cobbitty Equine Classic, creating additional opportunities and value for our clients.

This season, we are also pleased to offer attractive multiple-mare discounts and welcome the opportunity to tailor breeding packages to suit individual breeders and budgets.

The inaugural edition of the $200,000 Cobbitty Equine Classic race series will be held in December 2026 at Club Menangle.

To learn more about the series, we visited Belinda McCarthy at Cobbitty Equine and took a tour of the incredible facilities where eight stallions including Confederate and Cannibal are standing this season.

Three-time Miracle Mile champion King Of Swing also makes a special appearance.
