Gimpanzee established himself as one of the finest trotters of his generation through a career defined by speed, consistency and championship performances at every age.
Unbeaten in nine starts as a two-year-old, he swept the New York Sire Stakes circuit before capturing the Breeders Crown Final and earning Dan Patch Two-Year-Old Trotting Colt of the Year honours.
At three, Gimpanzee continued to compete at the highest level, winning the Empire Breeders Classic, Matron Stakes, New York Sire Stakes Final and the prestigious $500,000 Yonkers Trot. He capped off his sophomore season with a second Breeders Crown title and over $1.1 million in seasonal earnings.
As a four-year-old, Gimpanzee reached the peak of his powers. He won the Graduate Series Final, Hambletonian Maturity, John Cashman Memorial and Caesars Trotting Classic while recording a career-best mark of 1:50.0. His third Breeders Crown victory cemented his place among an elite group of trotters, becoming only the fifth horse in history to win three Breeders Crown titles and just the third to capture the event at two, three and four years of age.

COMMERCIAL APPEAL
Gimpanzee’s popularity in the sale ring was immediate and has remained strong across multiple crops, with buyers consistently paying premium prices for his progeny.
His first yearlings created enormous interest in 2023, with 28 yearlings selling for a combined $4.61 million and averaging $164,642. Twenty yearlings sold for $100,000 or more, highlighted by Kadena, who sold for $800,000 to equal the all-time auction record for a trotting filly yearling.
Demand remained exceptionally strong in 2024, when 55 yearlings sold for almost $5 million, including top prices of $525,000, $425,000, $400,000 and $300,000. Fourteen yearlings sold for $100,000 or more, demonstrating broad market confidence in the stallion.
The trend continued in 2025, led by Tyndall, who sold for $800,000, and Command Center, who brought $500,000. Gimpanzee progeny have consistently attracted the attention of major buyers, trainers and racing operations throughout North America.
