What a BIG year 2021 has been for Cobbitty Equine Farm.

On the racing track we took out the NSW State Premiership with 130 winners as well as the Metropolitan Trainer (45), Metropolitan Driving Premierships (55) and 160 trained winners nationally as we raced in Victoria and Queensland through out the year as well.

In the Stallion barn we have served over 600 mares this season and welcomed some beautiful foals by our resident sires. For A Reason’s progeny continue to impress and this year we welcomed Bling It On’s 2YOs to the race track with great success as well.

We saw the running of the other heats and the ID21 Final in December. With a deflating end to the series, we could not be more proud of our runners, King Of Swing, Expensive Ego, Spirit Of St Louis and Alta Orlando. The boys won seven of the nine heats that were run, demolished track records and we became the first trainer-driver combination to sweep a set of heats when Expensive Ego, Spirit Of St Louis and King Of Swing won at Bathurst.

We would like to thank all of our supporters, our team at home, our owners and
family for helping make this year such a success.

We look forward to what 2022 brings ..
We wish everyone a happy and safe New Year

For A Reason finished the season off, third on the NSW 3YO Sires Premiership. With 48 3YO winners in NSW, just behind his father Art Major (49) and Bettors Delight (102). We are so proud of Frank matching it with the big boys in
the sire ranks.

Bling It On had 24 starters from his debut crop for 11 individual winners for the 2021 season. His progeny ticked over $260,800 in earnings for their first season, with an average of $10,869 per starter. His standout offspring for
the season, was the exciting filly Madrid. The filly become Bling It On’s first Group One winner when she won the NSW BREEDERS CHALLENGE 2YO FILLIES FINAL (G1) in a fast mile rate of 1:51.9. This made her the fastest 2YO filly in NSW this season. After an incredible season watching his first crop hit the racetrack, the colonial stallion finished third on the First Crop Sires Australian National Premiership against some exciting sires.
