Jilliby Kung Fu Returns to racing with a bang! 

It was a fairy tale return to the race track for our Stallion Jilliby Kung Fu.
He was clearly excited to be back on track and stamped his way back into the winner’s circle at Albion Park where he cruised over the mile clocking in with a 1:53.5 mile rate. 

His last race appearance was back in January of 2020, almost two and a half years ago. The champion juvenile pacer was sent to the breeding barn and has since served over 120 mares, with his 2YO’s ready to hit the track in January.

We are very excited for the future with Fu and what’s to come this winter carnival campaign.

Mach Shard leaving his mark…

Another exciting pacer in our stable is Mach Shard. Shard has made the trip north to Queensland to start his winter carnival campaign. Saturday night at Albion Park, we watched him start from a 20-metre handicap in the Open Class Stand race, to then round up the field and smash the track record that has been held since 2014. Mach Shard is now the track record holder at Albion Park with a mile rate of 1:56:5 for the 2647m SS.

This is the second track record Mach Shard has broken this season. It was just last month, were he set the track record at Wagga with a mile rate of 1:49.7 over the mile. We look forward to watching him throughout the Queensland winter carnival.

Cover Girl winning her Australian debut!

The excitement around this 3YO Filly is real, Cover Girl stepped out on Aussie soil for the first time at Albion Park on Tuesday making it a stunning debut and winning her first start here for us at Cobbitty Equine. 

Together with her huge group of owners, we are so excited to be apart of her campaign here in Australia and the future of Cover Girl NZ.

Frank and Yank Progeny

Over the last weekend, For A Reason sired winners all down the eastern seaboard of Australia. 

Bradeos Lad kicked things off with an effortless win taking out the Consolation of the State Tab Regional Championship at Club Menangle for trainer David Kennedy and driver Jackson Painting. 
Continuing the progeny’s golden run, Delightful Reason took at the mares race at Albion Park on Saturday night for owner and trainer Ronny Sallis.
Imperials Reason finished off the impressive month for For A Reason’s progeny. The For A Reason filly has not been out of the money this season, with five wins, two seconds and a third from eight starts this season and over the weekend the filly added to a her great season when she took out the Hygain Cranbourne 10,000 Pace Final at Cranbourne for trainer and owner Paul Fidge.
